LIVE Restaurant is run by the City of Mississauga’s hospitality services on the ground floor of the Living Arts Centre, next to the elevators and across from Square One Shopping Centre.

About the venue

The private dining room is booked for pre-theatre dining, birthdays, family gatherings, meetings, galas and holiday events. Rentals include in-house speakers, a podium, a microphone and linens, and the team can set up a themed room. Seasonal holiday menu packages are offered alongside the banquet menu.

The venue publishes a maximum of 80 seated, 120 standing reception. Those are top figures for an empty room. A dance floor, a stage, a buffet or a photo booth each take space, so plan on fewer guests than the maximum once your layout is drawn.

• Is the private room fully closed off, or will other diners pass through?
• What is the minimum spend for the room on your date and time?
• Can you set a fixed menu, and how far ahead must final numbers be confirmed?
• Is there space and power for a microphone, a screen or a performer?
• How long is the room yours, and is there a later seating that limits the end time?
• Are cake fees, corkage or room fees charged on top of food and drink?

Planning entertainment here

Private dining rooms suit close-up entertainment: a strolling magician, a caricaturist or a solo musician. Check that there is room for the performer to move between tables without blocking service.

Send every performer’s technical needs to the venue before you book: floor space, ceiling height, power, sound and changing room.
