Get featured
Featured placement is the paid way to stand out in the EventPlans.ca Directory. It works best for businesses that already have a complete free listing and want more room to show what they do.
How featured placement works
Featured listings appear in a separate, clearly labelled area of their category. Readers can always tell which listings are paid. Ordinary listings below them keep their usual order, which is the same for everyone.
What it does not change
Featured placement does not affect our guides, encyclopedia entries or Academy lessons, and it does not affect reviews. It does not buy links in editorial content. The founder’s own companies follow the same rules and carry an ownership disclosure. The full policy is on the editorial policy page.
Is it right for you?
Featured placement makes the most sense if your free listing already has accurate details, a price range and good photos, and you serve a category where readers compare several options. If your listing is thin, improve it first; a stronger basic listing often does more than a paid one. Start with submit a listing if you are not in the Directory yet.
Making the most of it
The extra space is only worth paying for if you use it well. Choose photos of real events that show scale, such as a room set for dinner or a performer with an audience, rather than empty spaces or stock images. Use the description to answer the questions planners always ask: how many guests, how much space, what power or setup time you need, and what is included in your price. Respond to enquiries quickly; a featured listing that goes unanswered does more harm than good.
If you would like to talk it through, use the form below and tell us your category and service area.
Featured listings sit at the top of their category and city pages, carry photos, video and a lead form, and earn a “Featured on EventPlans.ca” badge for your own site.
