Partner with us
EventPlans.ca works best when the people who run events in the GTA help shape it. We are open to partnerships that make the site more accurate and more useful for planners, without compromising its independence.
What a good partnership looks like
The partnerships we value most share knowledge. A venue that supplies accurate floor plans, ceiling heights and power details helps every reader who is trying to fit an event into a room. An association that shares its event schedule helps people new to the industry find their community. A school that shares student work gives graduates a place to be seen.
We are also interested in practical tools: ways for planners to move information between our templates and the software they already use.
What stays independent
A partnership does not change our editorial judgement. Partners do not approve guides or lessons, and they receive no ranking preference in the Directory or Venues. Where a partnership involves money or a business relationship, we disclose it on the pages it affects. The details are in our editorial policy.
How to start
Tell us who you are, what you have in mind, and what readers would get out of it. A short note is enough to begin. We read every message and reply through the contact details you provide.
Ideas we would welcome
- Venue profiles with accurate measurements, layouts and accessibility details, so readers can test a room with the capacity tools before they tour it.
- Guest lessons or worksheets for the Academy from people with deep experience in one corner of the industry.
- Plain-language explainers on rules that affect events, reviewed by someone who works with those rules every day.
- Shared templates that make it easier to move a plan from one tool to another.
If your idea does not fit any of these, send it anyway. Some of the most useful additions to the site have started as a question rather than a proposal.
Venues, associations, schools and tech platforms: let’s build something planners use.
- Venues: claim your profile free, add floor plans and technical specs, and appear in the capacity and feature filters.
- Associations (ILEA, MPI, CSEP chapters): list your events on the industry calendar and co-publish research.
- Schools (George Brown, Humber): student spotlights, Academy worksheets, and the job board for graduates.
- Platforms: integrate ticketing, RSVP or planning tools with our templates.
