Most event clients will look at your website before they contact you, and many will decide within seconds whether to stay. This module shows you how to build a site whose single job is to turn the right visitors into inquiries. You will learn what a visitor must understand in the first eight seconds, how to structure a small service site, and how to write service pages that answer the questions clients actually ask. You will make your photos and video load quickly, design inquiry forms that qualify leads without scaring them off, and put trust on the page with reviews, credentials, insurance and clear policies. You will also cover the Canadian and Ontario rules for accessibility, privacy and consent that every business website should respect. The module is for any event business, whether your site runs on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or something else. It ends with a workshop in which you audit and rewrite your own home page.

By the end of this module you can

  • Pass the eight-second test: say who you serve, what you do, where and what to do next
  • Plan a simple site structure and write service pages that answer buying questions
  • Make images and video load quickly on a phone and measure page speed
  • Build an inquiry form that collects what you need and respects privacy and CASL
  • Audit and rewrite your home page using a repeatable checklist
