How to use this page

The wedding hub covers the plan from the first conversation to the last dance. This page collects what sits around it: longer articles on single problems, the calculators couples use most, and the six wedding lessons in the free Academy. If you are early in planning, read the timeline and the budget guide first, then come back here for the articles that match the decisions in front of you.

Read in this order

  1. The hub overview for the shape of a GTA wedding and what drives the cost.
  2. The planning timeline, to see what should already be booked for your date.
  3. The venue guide, before you tour anything, because the venue sets the date, the guest count and most of the rules.
  4. The wedding budget splitter, once you have a total in mind.
  5. The checklist, which saves your progress in this browser.

The wedding lessons in the Academy

The free Academy has a six-lesson wedding track: the 18-month timeline, cultural weddings and how to plan multi-day celebrations, budgets, ceremony logistics and the Ontario marriage licence, the wedding-day run of show, and micro-weddings and destination weddings in Niagara and Muskoka. Each lesson has a narrated video, a worksheet and a short quiz.

Where weddings overlap other hubs

A large wedding with speeches and a first dance shares its programme logic with the galas and award nights hub: one speech per course, entertainment before the moment that matters, and a clear owner for every cue. The entertainment page and the food and drink page cover the two areas where couples most often run over budget.
