Event vendors & entertainment in Toronto

Downtown and the neighbourhoods planners book most.

Toronto has more than 400 bookable event spaces, and they sort into a few families that behave very differently. Downtown hotels (Financial District, Yorkville) bring room blocks, union load-in and premium food-and-beverage minimums. King West, Liberty Village and the Distillery hold the lofts and galleries: bring-your-own caterer, rentals on top, curfews around 1 a.m. Scarborough, Etobicoke and North York have the banquet halls with late curfews, in-house catering and parking that downtown cannot offer. The waterfront adds terraces and sound bylaws that end outdoor music at 11 p.m.

Every profile here lists the numbers that decide a booking: capacity in each layout, minimum spend with HST and gratuity stated, catering and bar policy, ceiling height and rigging, curfew, load-in and the nearest transit. Filter by capacity and feature, or start with the venue matchmaker.

Frequently asked questions

How far ahead should I book a Toronto event venue?

Twelve to eighteen months for Saturday weddings; six months for December corporate dates; two to three months for weekday events.

Do Toronto venues include tax in their minimum spend?

Usually not. Add 13% HST and typically 18% gratuity to any minimum before comparing.

Which Toronto neighbourhoods have venues with rigging for aerial acts?

Large hotel ballrooms downtown, some King West lofts with exposed beams, and the big banquet halls in Scarborough and Etobicoke. Each profile lists rigging status.
