Dozens of them along the Bench and in Niagara-on-the-Lake host ceremonies on the vines and dinners in barrel halls or tents for 80–300 guests, with their own liquor licences (no SOP) and 11 p.m. outdoor sound bylaws. Niagara Falls adds hotel ballrooms and conference space for 300–1,500.
It is 90 minutes from Toronto on a good day: budget coaches, a hotel block and a Sunday brunch. Tent permits go through the Town; most wineries manage them with eight weeks' notice.
