Hiring a private party magician in Toronto: what to expect and what it costs.

Looking for a private party magician in Toronto who can turn a living room, backyard or rented hall into the best night of the year?

Dan Kranstz brings comedy-forward close-up magic and a music-driven stage show to birthdays, anniversaries and milestone celebrations, with your guest of honour at the centre of every miracle.

A Toronto Party Magician Who Makes the Night About Your Guests.

The best private party entertainment does not feel like a performance dropped into the middle of your evening.

It feels like your party suddenly got more fun.

Adult Birthday Party Magician for Milestone Celebrations.

Turning 30, 40, 50 or 70 deserves more than a cake and a playlist.

As an adult birthday party magician, Dan crafts a set where the birthday guest is pulled into the spotlight for the biggest moments: the spotted card, the card in the mouth, and a finale that makes them look like the magician.

The Bowler-Hat Party Magic Show.

When it is time to gather the room, Dan steps into his signature character: bowler hat, black velvet jacket, red pocket square.

The stage set runs about 15 minutes, performed entirely to music, and can expand into a 30-minute interactive show for parties that want a full feature.

Say Hello to Rocky the Toronto Raccoon.

Dan rarely works alone.

Rocky the Toronto Raccoon, his realistic raccoon puppet, comes alive in his hands partway through the show: a born Torontonian with a weakness for shiny things, a habit of inspecting volunteers' watches, and a talent for reacting to the magic half a second before the audience does.

Private Party Entertainment Across Toronto.

Dan performs private parties throughout Toronto, in every corner of the city, and in the suburbs and cottage country beyond it.

Condo party rooms, restaurants with private dining, rented venues and private homes all work well.

A Toronto Party Magician Who Makes the Night About Your Guests

The best private party entertainment does not feel like a performance dropped into the middle of your evening. It feels like your party suddenly got more fun. That is the goal every time Dan Kranstz arrives as your party magician in Toronto. He reads the room, finds the people who want to play, and builds moments that your friends will still be talking about at the next get-together.

For small groups, Dan works close-up, moving from cluster to cluster with cards, coins and borrowed objects. A signed card ends up inside a zipped bag. A borrowed bill appears inside a lemon. A thought is read, a prediction flashes into existence. Because it happens inches from your guests, nobody is left wondering whether it was a camera trick.

• Milestone birthdays and surprise parties
• Anniversary and vow-renewal celebrations

The Bowler-Hat Party Magic Show

When it is time to gather the room, Dan steps into his signature character: bowler hat, black velvet jacket, red pocket square. The stage set runs about 15 minutes, performed entirely to music, and can expand into a 30-minute interactive show for parties that want a full feature.

Expect a glowing light orb drifting through smoke, a third hand illusion, linking rings, a rope routine and Rocky the raccoon, a puppet that seems to come alive in Dan’s arms. It is comedy magic with real astonishment underneath, and it plays just as well in a backyard as on a small stage. For the full illusion experience, explore the Toronto stage illusion show.

Say Hello to Rocky the Toronto Raccoon

Dan rarely works alone. Rocky the Toronto Raccoon, his realistic raccoon puppet, comes alive in his hands partway through the show: a born Torontonian with a weakness for shiny things, a habit of inspecting volunteers’ watches, and a talent for reacting to the magic half a second before the audience does. He is clean, wordless, and works in every language, which is why he is the cast member guests remember by name. Read Rocky’s full profile.

Private Party Entertainment Across Toronto

Dan performs private parties throughout Toronto, in every corner of the city, and in the suburbs and cottage country beyond it. Condo party rooms, restaurants with private dining, rented venues and private homes all work well.

Because Dan also founded the entertainment agencies Magic Magic and Circus Universe, he can add more acts if you are planning something bigger: fire performers, acrobats, jugglers, LED performers or breakdancers. One call can build an entire evening of event entertainment in Toronto.

How to Book a Magician for Your Toronto Party

1. Call or email. Reach Dan at 905-299-9114 or dankranstz@gmail.com with your date, location and guest count.
2. Pick the format. Strolling close-up magic, a stage show, or both.
3. Share the details. Tell Dan about the guest of honour so he can personalise moments.
4. Enjoy your party. Dan arrives early, sets up quietly and keeps the night on schedule.

What to expect when you book

• Built around your guest of honour. The birthday person or happy couple becomes the star, with routines like the card in the shoe and the bill in the lemon happening right in their hands.
• Mingling magic, then a show. Start with strolling close-up magic while guests arrive, then gather everyone for a 15-minute show set to music.
• Comedy that lands with adults. Physical-theatre humour, a third hand that should not exist and a severed hand gag keep grown-up crowds laughing.
• Fits any room. Condo party rooms, backyards, restaurants and estate homes all work. Dan adapts the set to your space and sightlines.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a private party magic performance last?

Most parties book strolling close-up magic during cocktails plus a 15-minute stage set. The show can expand into a 30-minute interactive performance for a full feature.

Is the show appropriate for adult-only parties?

Yes. Dan’s comedy magic is built for adult audiences with physical-theatre humour and sharp interaction, while staying fun and inclusive for every guest.

How much space do you need?

Close-up magic needs no space at all. For the stage set, a clear area at the front of the room where everyone can see is plenty. Dan will confirm details when you book.

Do you perform outside Toronto?

Dan is based in Toronto and performs across the city. He travels throughout the GTA on request, so just ask about your location.

Can you include the birthday person in the magic?

Absolutely. Dan designs the biggest moments around your guest of honour so they become part of the show.
